Frequently Asked Questions

What is GearFinder?

GearFinder is a search engine built specifically for guitars, basses, amps, and pedals. We aggregate listings from trusted marketplaces and retailers so you can find, search, and compare gear in one place instead of searching each site individually.

What kind of listings do you show?

We focus on used gear, open-box deals, B-stock, sale items, and premium new listings.

Do you sell gear directly?

No. GearFinder is a search engine, not a store. When you find something you want to buy, we link you to the original seller's website where you complete your purchase.

How often are listings updated?

We update our listings continuously throughout the day. Boutique store inventory is refreshed every 2-4 hours.

Is a listing sold or unavailable?

If a listing shows as unavailable when you click through, it may have sold recently. We remove sold items as quickly as possible

How do I save items?

Click the heart icon on any listing to save it. You'll need to create a free account to save items and access them later.

Is GearFinder free?

Yes, GearFinder is completely free to use.

Can I get notified about price drops?

Yes! Save any listing by clicking the heart icon, and we'll notify you if the price drops. You'll need a free account to save items and receive alerts.

Where do listings come from?

We aggregate listings from multiple trusted marketplaces and music gear retailers. Our sources include major used gear marketplaces as well as specialty shops that focus on guitars, basses, amps, and pedals.

How do filters work?

Use filters to narrow down results by category, brand, price range, condition, and more. Filters update dynamically based on available inventory, so you'll only see options that have matching listings.
